Summer Immersion – 2022
A nine days’ summer immersion Program was organized by NMIMS, SOC Dhule for students for age 14 and above for up scaling their skills in various areas.
The event gave students perfect opportunity to mix fun with learning and grow their overall potential.
The event consisted of 4 sessions each day where students got to learn various skills such as Excel, Public speaking, Data Analytics, Banking, Personal Branding and various other skills and also on the other hand SOC had engaged students in fun activities like Zumba, Dance, Yoga, Painting and so on.
One day was kept for field trip where students were taken to a resort and where they had fun filled day with adventure activities such as Bow and Arrow, Riffle shooting, Zip line and so on.
Overall the students gained knowledge together with having fun in those nine days.
Euphoria – 2022
A full day inter college management fest was organised by the E- Cell committee of SOC, Dhule. Around 400 students from various colleges of Dhule, Shirpur, Nashik and some other adjacent areas participated in the event. The entire event was divided in two parts i.e. Quizzera and management Games.
The objective of Quizzera was to test the general awareness and knowledge of the students whereas management games objective was to build team work and leadership qualities. This helped students to learn and develop management skills, team building and enhanced their practical corporate exposure. Students also showed their creativity through advertisement designing. Cash Prizes were awarded to the winners.
Online One Day Faculty Development Program on ‘Adapting the new normal and gearing up for the future’
The learning community faced lot of challenges during past year. Irrespective of the challenges, the learners have manged to cope up with the change and started living with it. With the focus on difficulties faced due to the new normal, the professors in higher education institutes were guided through an online one FDP on ‘Adapting the new normal and gearing up for the future’ organised on 5thJuly 2021. The core focus of FDP was to make participants acquainted with the certain changes and new methodologies and opportunities available. The FDP received a good response and 96 faculties from more than 10 colleges participated in it. The program was conducted through a virtual platform MS Teams.
The first session conducted by Prof. Dr. Arvind Kumar Bhatt (Professor, GLBIMR, Gurgaon) enlightened the participants on the role of New Education Policy 2020 and its impact on institution and individual faculties.
The second facilitated by Dr. Preeti Sharma (Director and Placement Head at ICFAI) set the tone for faculty’s role in student development. The speaker highlighted various unconventional job opportunities available for the students after graduation. By adapting the cross-functional skills, the students can open doors and explore numerous opportunities.
In the last session, Prof. Dr. Veena Ahire (Retired Vice-Principal, Z. B. Patil College) pointed out certain tools and techniques for having better online learning experience. The speaker also demonstrated various ways in which professors can groom students during the online teaching.
