Dhule Campus is the most recent initiative of SVKM’s NMIMS which has started functioning from July 2018 with School of Commerce and the degree programmes B. B. A and B. Com (Hons.) In the next 2 to 3 year various schools will be initiated conducting graduate and post graduate programmes in finance, management, law, science and technology etc..
Dhule campus is being developed on Mumbai-Agra highway near the famous Gurudwara and is spread over 33 acres of land with world class facilities. From academic year 2019-20 Dhule campus will have hostel facilities for boys and girls as well as staff residence. Soon we will be having seven storeys University building, fully air conditioned equipped with all state of art infrastructure facilities. Care is being taken to develop Dhule campus at par with all other campuses in all aspects.
Dhule is a district place, located in the north-western part of Maharashtra state. It is situated at the foot of the Satpuda Mountain in a valley of the Tapi River. It is bordered in the west by the Gujarat State and in the north by Madhya Pradesh .
The city has industrial areas, schools, colleges, hospitals, hotels, multi cuisine restaurants, fast food joints like Dominos, supermarkets, residential areas, excellent telecommunication and transport infrastructure. Dhule is also the regional headquarters of MIDC, RTO, and MTDC. Dhule is largely emerging as one of the upcoming hubs of textile, edible oil, and power-loom across the state. It has gained a strategic advantage for being on the junction of three National Highways namely NH-6 (Surat-Nagpur), NH-3 (Mumbai-Agra) and NH-211 (Dhule-Solapur) and enjoys advantage of excellent connectivity to ports and hinterland. It is on the most anticipated Manmad - Indore Rail Project. Shirdi (Saibaba temple) is only 145 Kms away and world famous Ajantha caves and Ellora caves are respectively 140 Kms and 130 Kms away from Dhule city.
Dhule is also a part of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project, as Node - 17, India's most ambitious infrastructure program, aiming to develop new industrial cities and converging next generation technologies across infrastructure sectors. Safexpress has established India's largest Logistics Park in the outskirts of Dhule City on National Highway No. 6.
Dhule is fast developing as one of the important educational hubs of Maharashtra having 2 state of art campuses of SVKM’s NMIMS at Shirpur and Dhule. Dhule also has 2 Medical colleges, 1 Dental college, 1 Government Agricultural college and several Engineering and Pharmacy colleges.
The weather in Dhule is quite pleasant. For 4 months i.e. from Nov to Feb, the winters are very pleasant and the rainfall is moderate. Studying in Dhule will be like living in a countryside, at some distance from the noisy and busy metros. However just a 5 to 6 hours drive will take you to the prominent metro cities / Tier I cities like Mumbai, Pune, Indore, Surat, Nashik, Aurangabad etc.
