Webinar on '' Careers with NMIMS '' aimed to limelight on the career options available after class 12th was arranged for students on an online platform in this pandemic situation. Our panelists where Ms. Sudipta Paul Choudhary, Mrs. Sangeeta Kher , Dr. Vishal Moyal.
Ms. Sudipta Paul Choudhary is an IIM Calcutta Topper and alumnus with 16+ years of experience. She took us through all the major streams and career option post 10+2.
Our Dean Mrs. Sangeet kher ma'am enlightened us about NMIMS facilities, career options, specialization options and international dual degree opportunities.
Dr Vishal Moyal has 17 years of extensive teaching experience. he has 01 Patent and 48 Paper Publications under his credit discussed about the career options for the science stream.
More than 150 students from Dhule and other places across Maharashtra attended the webinar. Students were enlightened about the career opportunities here in India with NMIMS and aboard more over they were rewarded with participation certificate.
E certificates were sent to the participants within 24 hours of the webinar.
Student Orientation (2020-21)
This year like every other year, School of Commerce, NMIMS Dhule welcomed a new set of minds with excitement and joy. The orientation marked the beginning of a new journey for the batch of 2020-2023 of BBA students. Given the current unavoidable circumstances, as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, it was difficult to be physically present and formally introduce the freshers to the college. But even this obstacle didn’t dampen the spirits of the faculty and the seniors. Instead, eager to see their family grow, they welcomed the new batch to the NMIMS Dhule family with open arms by the means of a virtual induction program conducted over MS Teams platform.
The induction program is an annual tradition at NMIMS, SOC. The new batch was address by Mrs. Sangeeta Kher Ma’am, Dean, SOC, NMIMS, Director of the campus Mr. K.B. Patil Sir and also the mentor and guardian of the campus. There were also motivational speeches which left the students filled with energy and in high spirits. Students were also highlighted on the importance of striking balance between academics and extracurricular. A brief session on the campus, academics and exam rules by CA. Kunal Pasari, Head of the campus set the tone for the quality of discipline we, here at NMIMS adhere to. Students were also informed about international linkages of the university and internship and placement opportunities. Lastly the session concluded with guiding students on usage of important platforms such as student portal and online lecture platforms.
All in all, it resulted in making the freshers more comfortable and familiar in their new home. It set the tone for the years to come and gave them an insight into what they can expect during their time here at NMIMS.
Student conclave
A full day workshop was organized for students of all by School of Commerce, NMIMS, Dhule on 25thSeptember 2020 for all three years students of BBA and B.com(H) through zoom platform. Key speakers at the event were Mr. Omkar Kamat, Mr. Shailendra Dixit, Dr. Vilas Padyae and Ms. Sadhika Agrawal. Students were enlightened on the topics Maneuvering their career through cross industry switches, Insights in mutual fund market, stress management and fintech respectively by the above mentioned speakers. A doubt solving session was also held for students at the end of each topic. Students participated actively throughout the program and filled the chat box with their queries which were solved by the experts. The workshop was very lively and the response from students was amazing. It helped students to gain knowledge in various fields.
N Pulse
NMIMS, SOC Dhule hosted a One-Day Online event "N-Pulse" on 12th December, 2020. The event was an amalgamation of fun games which were related to improvising management skills, communication skills, imbibe leadership qualities & giving participants the corporate exposure. It was a joint effort by all the faculties and staff.
N Pulse consist of 7 game conclave naming Book review, Bollywood Game, Just a Minute, Word Play quiz, Blood bank game, product branding and group discussion. The games were a hit amongst the students and they thoroughly enjoyed participating in them.
Winners were awarded with a prize and a certificate, complimentary gift were also distributed to exceptional performers.
